晚清举人赠佳名：1909的中秋，在宜宾县团练雷东恒的安排下，众多社会名流，文人墨客汇聚一堂。邓子均受邀参加，并奉上陈氏祖传秘方所酿制的“杂粮酒”。席间，“杂粮酒”一开，顿时满屋飘香，令人陶醉。众人不禁一阵美赞，
这时唯独晚清举人杨惠泉沉默不语，他一边品酒，一边似在暗自思度。忽然间他问道：“这酒叫什么名字？”“杂粮酒”
邓子均回答。“为何去此名”杨惠泉又问。“因为它是由高粱大米糯米小麦玉米等五谷杂粮所酿造的。”邓子均说。如此佳酿，名为杂粮酒，似乎过俗。“此酒既然为五粮之精华而成玉液，何不直呼五粮液？”杨惠泉说。“好，这个名字取得好”众人拍案叫绝。一个美名“五粮液”呼只而出。一个传世品牌就此诞下来。
